This report by Hänninen, Adetunji & Pavlov (2020) provides a representation of the response arrangements, policies, and oil spill response (OSR) infrastructure in the Northern Periphery and Arctic (NPA) Programme region.
The report includes information about OSR in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, United Kingdom and Ireland, Greenland, and Faroe Islands. The responsible national authorities, response arrangements & policies as well as OSR equipment in these countries are outlined. The sea areas included span from North Atlantic to the Baltic Sea and from the Barents Sea in the north to the North Sea in the south. The overall aim is to improve the preparedness level of oil spill response in these waters by increasing knowledge about the existing OSR infrastructure.
