Baltic Sea Day is the annual celebration of the Baltic Sea, which has been initiated by the John Nurminen Foundation. The day is organised every year on the last Thursday of August and will take place on this year on the 28th of the month. The day is filled with events that highlight the importance of the Baltic Sea to the people living by it, and encourages people to take actions to protect it. OIL SPILL and POPCORN projects organise a webinar about maritime pollution, which is part of the offical event lineup. The event, which is given in Finnish, can be followed virtually. More information about the event, including how to register for it, can be found from the official event website of the Baltic Sea Day. The whole programme of this interesting day can be found from here.
